Pricing
What are your prices?
The price of our pups are priced on an average of $550.00 and up, depending on their quality and size. Puppies that we suspect to have potential for being shown in AKC sanctioned events or those who are of an exceptionally small size are priced accordingly. The very tiny pups normally need closer supervision and care and have to stay with us longer depending on how well they progress independently without mom caring for them full time. Therefore the prices increase due to additional vaccinations, wormers, time and food needed to care for the pup. As a policy we do not use the term "Teacup" and call these smaller Chihuahuas just what they are Very Small Chihuahuas.

Male or Female, spay or neuter?
Which is better a male or female? Should I get my dog spayed or neutered?
Generally both make excellent pets assuming that they are properly cared for and are spayed or neutered between the ages of 6 months and 1 year. If spaying or neutering is not done several things can occur. Before a female goes into heat she bleeds for 10 days. If the dog is inside the home the blood can get on clothes, floors or furniture. Once the animal is spayed this ceases to occur. Males who are not neutered hike their legs and urinate on things in the home. They also can become aroused and can hump things. If the dog is neutered early they don't have the urge to do these things.

Teacup
What is a "teacup"?
"Teacup" is a term that has been thrown around so much with small breeds that it has become a household word. We have on occasion very small Chihuahuas, and that's exactly what they are... small.

Health
Are there any health problems with your Chihuahuas?
We have been very careful to breed out these common problems and guarantee that the dog you purchase is a healthy animal.

Children
Are Chihuahua's good with children?
In my experience I have never had a problem with my Chihuahuas getting along with children within my home. What needs to be taken into consideration, however, is how the child should be taught to treat the dog. Parents must teach their children the proper way to handle a puppy so that he or she feels secure in their (two) arms. Chihuahuas do not like to be carried with one hand and dangled from a child's arm, yanked by the tail, or picked up the the ears or scruff of the neck. Treating any animal in this way can cause harm to the dog and can teach the puppy to defend itself from the person treating them in that way by scratching, biting, urinating or any number of other defense mechanisms.
Teach your child also to play with young puppies on the floor to reduce the risk of them falling from furniture. It does not take a very long fall to snap a small puppy's leg in two. Over exertion of a small Chihuahua can cause low blood sugar to occur as well. Teaching children to be careful and responsible and they will have an unforgettable friend for life.

SOMETHING YOU SHOULD BE AWARE OF WHEN PURCHASING AN EXTREMELY SMALL PUPPY!!!-
There are certain requirements for taking care of a puppy that is extremely small in size for his/her age. We will explain to the purchaser the full risk involved with hypoglycemia (low glucose). We will explain the precautions that should be taken to avoid this situation, as well as the treatment the puppy should receive immediately if any symptoms should occur.
Hypoglycemia is a condition that sometimes affects small dogs and not the result of a deformity, poor quality, or poor breeding program, many other small breeds are also affected by hypoglycemia. This is normally associated with stress that comes from changing familiar environments or skipping meals. This condition is only temporary; the puppy is generally out of danger as soon as they become comfortable and adjust in their new home.
However, I cannot guarantee the treatment and care that the puppy receives after it leaves my care, so therefore I take no responsibility for any sickness, veterinary fees, medical expenses, or death related issues associated with Hypoglycemia or poor care on the part of the purchaser.
There are some common health problems that we have taken the time and effort to breed out of our line.
